Hello Again! It has been a while, but for good reason I assure you! The last time you heard from me it was January and I had just returned from Romania, A LOT has happened since then. First off Caroline and I got married on the day before Easter and it was beyond wonderful! Because of that, from now on we will be telling you about US and what WE are doing instead of just me! ![]()
After the wedding, we set off on our honeymoon in the Great Smoky Mountains. After a week full of relaxing and fun we road tripped across America to Colorado, our temporary home. We are staying in a perfect little log cabin that some friends of ours own outside Trinidad. In exchange for staying here we are providing the labor to remodel the place. We have so enjoyed it out here seeing every animal Colorado has to offer, even a bear encounter! We were only here a few short weeks before we drove all the way back to Georgia to see Caroline’s family, met up with some friends and flew back to Romania. We were in Romania for 12 days- just long enough for Caroline to get a feel for the place, meet up with friends, and gain a lot of information about our future steps towards making that our home one day.
Upon returning from Romania we drove to Iowa for a visit with my family. While there we also picked up 9 chickens from McMurray Hatchery (Thanks again!)for us to raise and begin learning how to live the simple country life.
From there we drove back to Colorado (chickens and all) where we have been ever since. We have already had one friend from GA come out to see us here and have spent many a good time with all of our friends here in Trinidad. The reason you have not heard from us much is because our house does not have a phone, our cell phones do not work out here and we just got internet last week! Still no phones, but we can send emails now.
We have a good bit of traveling we plan to do this year and plenty of work on our little house that still needs to be done, but we are taking our time, relaxing, enjoying friends, and most of all enjoying one another. We are also just starting to look into a new passport for Caroline and all the visa stuff involved in moving back to Scotland for a season while Caroline does her DTS. Time does go by quickly, but we’re not bothered, life is good.
God’s provision is still so amazing even in this season of rest. God is sooooo good! Please continue to pray for us, our time here in the US, our steps back to Scotland, and our eventual steps to Romania. Thank you for your continued prayers, support and friendship!
Before I sign off, I would like to introduce you to an amazing, incredible, intelligent, resourceful, godly, and unbelievably beautiful woman, my wife, Caroline… Say something, Gorgeous! ![]()
Hey y’all! Well, Tim has shared about the adventures and happenings in our life as of late, but there is one thing that only I can share with you… what a joy and blessing it is to be Mrs. Tim Bailey! You all have watched Tim grow up in the Lord, poured into him, loved him, and prayed for him… which has made him into the wonderful, godly husband that he is. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Many of you I have had the privilege of meeting already, and the rest of you I look forward to meeting and sharing life with you in the days to come.
Our time in Romania, although brief, was perfect for my first experience of the country. I found myself feeling at home right from the start- which is good since I kind of committed to moving there when I said “I do!” For the last 4 years or so, God has been developing in me a love for the people of India and their European descendants, the Roma or Gypsy people. I am thrilled about the life and ministry that awaits us in Romania with these beautiful people, and the Romanian people as well. But, until that time comes, I love being tucked away in the hills of Colorado, spending my time with my new hubby, with many of you, and learning to live a slower, more simple life…
Thank you again!
Love,
Tim and Caroline
